JAPN400: Pre-Capstone
Description
This course aims to develop advanced proficiency in communication through oral and written presentations to develop research project for Capstone in Japanese using appropriate media. (Credit/ No Credit Available)
Reflective Narrative:
Through this class, I have learned how to choose my topic, based on MLO 2. I had many ideas about the differences between Japan and the US for my capstone. However, I realized that I had to think of these topic deeply because the capstone was not just a presentation, but a more academic one. Thus, I considered each of my ideas carefully and decided my final topic and consulted my professors and friends. The capstone was a very challenging for me but I believed that it was worth it.
I also have learned how to research my topic correctly. It was difficult to find academic materials, but I could find good resources by using the Internet. At first, I was not good at using computer, but gradually I got used to it. Finally, I could come to use Google Forms and PowerPoint properly. Thus, I could meet the MLO 5 requirement.
